Mosaic grew out of 10 years of making films and installations for art and design organisations and businesses operating at the intersection of design, engineering and commerce. Gareth founded Mosaic to bring that experience together under one banner as a small, focused studio.
Having directed films for the BBC as well as commercial spots and installations for agencies Gareth had the opportunity to work with a number of talented collaborators working in sound, animation and motion graphics and production. Mosaic brings those skills and working relationships together into a cohesive offer to clients. We are experienced storytellers with an applied understanding of the media landscape and how to leverage it to engage different audiences..
Projects range from short online brand pieces and process films to award-winner portraits and collaborations between brands and cultural organisations. For each project, Mosaic brings in a small network of trusted collaborators – cinematographers, sound recordists, producers and editors – matched to the brief and budget.
Clients come to Mosaic when they need films that feel considered rather than generic: launch content for an award, a series documenting a collaboration, or a film that helps internal and external audiences understand a new idea.
Many of our projects are repeat commissions, with organisations returning each year to build on earlier work.
